This month’s outing of the Tremont Art Walk is the first time in its 14-year history that it coincides with Sparx in the City’s annual Gallery Hop tour of Cleveland art spots. It should prove a boon for both local artists and fans. “With this kind of an influx, we’re really pulling our best pieces to focus on the neighborhood,” says Jean Brandt, event coordinator and Brandt Gallery owner. Tonight’s lineup features artwork from more than two dozen galleries -- including Doubting Thomas, Studio 11, and Atmosphere. “Tremont is urban redefined,” says Atmosphere owner Alan Christianson. “The area is reinventing itself, while keeping its original feel. It’s creative and more experimental.” Expect to see plenty of paintings, sculptures, and photographs during tonight’s block-wide stroll. Says Brandt: “This is a time when the whole neighborhood opens their doors and lets the entire city understand what we are all about.”
